Dequervain’s Tenosynovitis

With repetitive movements of the thumb and wrist, inflammation and irritation of the tendon of the thumb can occur. This may be what is known as Dequervain’s tenosynovitis. There is no known direct cause for this and sometimes the pain may come and go.
